The best termite predator is a pest-control company
November 12, 1982
Q. Are there any natural predators of termites in the Southwestern part of the United States?
David F. Weiser Midwest City, Okla.
A. There are indeed natural predators of termites throughout the US. Ants, for example. Several species of ants are known to attack termite workers and can do considerable damage to colonies. However, they are not to be considered a method of controlling termites.
Successful control of termite infestations, in my opinion, is no job for an amateur. I'd always use a reliable pest-control company, preferably a local member of the National Pest Control Association Inc., PO Box 377, Dunn Loring, Va. 22027. The telephone number is: (703) 573-8330.
