Chrysler union to resume talks in US and Canada

United Automobile Workers officials announced the union will resume negotiations with Chrysler Corporation in both Canada and the United States. Talks will reopen in Toronto on Saturday and in Detroit on Monday, union officials said.
UAW Canadian director Robert White said 10,000 striking Canadian workers will remain on the picket lines during the negotiations. Analysts say the labor dispute is costing Chrysler between $10 million and $15 million a week and has ruined its chances of posting a profit for 1982.
