Chrysler Corporation rejected a United Auto Workers wage proposal, and UAW president Douglas Fraser said the company will ''buy a lot of bitterness'' if it causes workers to lose holiday pay by recessing talks until January.
Negotiations, which appeared stalled again, were to resume Wednesday here and in Toronto. The wage offer - made Tuesday in response to a Chrysler offer - would have covered 43,000 American workers and 9,600 striking Canadians. Chrysler chairman Lee Iacocca has said talks would be called off until January unless an agreement was reached in the next day or two.
