Israel's Supreme Court issued a temporary ban on Army demolitions of Arab buildings in the occupied West Bank town of Hebron, the Israeli news agency Itim reported.
Arab officials of the Palestinian town asked the court to halt the demolitions on the basis that they have sole authority to order buildings destroyed in the town center. The court gave the Israeli military governor of the West Bank 45 days to explain the razings, according to the report.
