The daughter of Honduran President Roberto Suazo Cordova was kidnapped here by unidentified gunmen, who gave the Guatemala government until Thursday night to respond to their demand to publish a political manifesto, Interior Minister Ricardo Mendez Ruiz said.
Publication of leftist guerrilla documents is prohibited under Guatemala's state of emergency, imposed by President Efrain Rios Montt to counter leftist insurgents.
