Greek Communists join protest on US aid plan

Greek Communists joined the Socialist government's protest against increased United States aid to Turkey. The White House outraged public opinion here last week by proposing nearly a doubling of military aid to Turkey to $755 million in 1984, plus $179 million in economic aid. The proposal kept military aid to Greece at the 1983 level of $280 million. The aid controversy is emerging as a central issue in US-Greek talks on the future of Greece's four American bases.
