President Reagan criticised television newsmen by saying they dwelt too much on bad news and paid insufficient attention to the accomplishments of Americans. In a speech prepared for a luncheon of the US Olympic Committee, he challenged network anchormen to report good news for a week. He also appealed for public contributions in support of US teams in next year's Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
