Israel's Supreme Court ruled the Israeli Broadcasting Authority could not ban interviews with supporters of the Palestine Liberation Organization in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The court said a new broadcasting authority regulation banning such interviews in the Israeli media infringed on freedom of expression. The head of the authority said on Israel radio it would fully comply with the ruling and did not plan to reformulate the ban.
