Nicaraguan official claims virtual defeat of invaders

Nicaragua has virtually defeated rightist insurgent forces from neighboring Honduras, a Nicaraguan official said here. Finance Minister Joaquin Cuadra Chamorro, here for talks with Venezuelan President Luis Herrera Campins, added that he had brought a Nicaraguan request for Venezuelan help in drawing up an electoral law in 1984 that would go into effect the following year.
