US aircraft carrier runs aground off San Francisco

The aircraft carrier Enterprise went aground in San Francisco Bay. The big carrier, on its way home from a tour of duty at sea, got stuck on a mud bar just outside its home port at the Alameda Naval Air Station. There was no immediate word on damage.
