Vice-President George Bush plans to announce an expanded war on drug smuggling Friday, a spokeswoman said. She confirmed a Washington Post report that the National Narcotics Border Interdiction System will make use of CIA informers and other domestic crime-fighting agencies, as well as Army and Navy helicopters for surveillance, to intercept more drug traffickers as they cross US borders. Six regional offices will be set up to catch drug smugglers.
