Montgomery, Ala.
Sen. Alan Cranston of California won his second straw poll in two weeks Saturday, getting more votes from a caucus of Alabama Young Democrats than all the other Democratic presidential hopefuls combined.
Cranston said that he was disappointed with the small turnout of 124 delegates, but was nonetheless pleased with the victory. However, Cranston added that the sample was too small to be an accurate indicator of how he may do in the Alabama Democratic primary next year.
