The Women's Encampment for a Future of Peace and Justice has opened its protest camp. About 500 women from across the US, as well as England and Canada , gathered on a farm they purchased next to the Seneca Army Depot in Romulus, N.Y. The feminists claim nuclear weapons are stored there, but the Army refuses to confirm or deny it. Encampment members decided not to display an American flag donated to them by a local citizen, saying it symbolized militarism.
