Removal of China scholar at Stanford U is upheld
July 12, 1983
In a case involving China and the US scholarly community, a committee of US anthropologists upheld the termination of Stephen Mosher from a Stanford University doctoral program in anthropology.
The committee said it found that Mr. Mosher deliberately disregarded Chinese law, had a manipulative approach toward the people with whom he was living and working, and showed a lack of candor with his professors and with US scholarly organizations.
