US, in reciprocal action, curbs travel by Chinese

Chinese nationals have been deprived of privileges to travel through the US without visas. Previously, each country had allowed the other's nationals to make transit stops without visas on a reciprocal basis. But since December, the State Department said, several Americans seeking to stop in China on Pakistan International Airways had been detained and fined in Peking for not having a Chinese visa.
