Deane R. Hinton, departing US ambassador to El Salvador, warned against the US trying to impose its standards on El Salvador without adapting them to ''markedly different circumstances.'' He also criticized El Salvador's private businessmen for their silence in the face of increasing murders of suspected leftists and guerrillas. Mr. Hinton was addressing the Salvadorean American Chanber of Commerce.
