Fighting over leadership of Palestinians heats up

Furious clashes apparently involving Syrian and Libyan troops as well as feuding Palestinian guerrillas broke out around the town of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon, security sources said. Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat charged Syrian and Libyan troops with fighting with Palestinian rebels against his supporters. There was no immediate word of casualties.
