Walesa wary of leaving Poland to collect prize
Lech Walesa said Thursday he is afraid to leave Poland to collect his Nobel Peace Prize because the communist government might not let him return home. The former Solidarity union leader said he was still discussing tactics with advisers and might send friends in exile abroad or his wife, Danuta, to collect the honor in Oslo Dec. 10.
