N.Y. Brink's hijackers each get 3 life sentences

A judge imposed three consecutive life sentences Thursday on three self-styled radicals convicted of killing two policemen and a guard in the aborted hijack of a Brinks' armored van in suburban New York in 1981. The radicals - Judith Clark, David J. Gilbert, and Kuwasi Balagoon - staged the robbery to fund a black separatist state they hoped to create in the southern US.
