US sets space launching with European Nov. 28
The ninth space shuttle mission, which will carry the European Space Agency's billion-dollar Spacelab scientific laboratory and the first European member of a US space crew, will be launched Nov. 28, NASA announced Thursday.
The launch date had been in doubt because several delays caused concern about how much scientific information could be gathered by the six-man crew during wintertime in the Northern Hemisphere. A NASA has promised to ''refly'' experiments that do not produce satisfactory results.
