Greyhound union leaders say new talks are possible

Leaders of striking Greyhound unions reported progress on concessions to lure negotiators for the bus line back to the bargaining table. The heads of the 31 Greyhound unions represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union worked on a contract proposal to hand to chief federal mediator Kay McMurray, in hopes he can use his influence to win a resumption of face-to-face bargaining.

According to a union source, all but a handful of the 31 leaders agree the union must make concessions, but those opposing any movement are among the most vocal and influential.
