Soviet-Iraqi panel looks to increasing cooperation

Senior Iraqi and Soviet officials opened discussions Tuesday on cooperation within the framework of a permanent committee on economic, scientific, and technical exchanges.

Industry and Mineral Resources Minister Subhy Yassin, heading Iraq's delegation at the committee's 14th session, was quoted by the official news agency INA as highly appreciative of ''the sincere and good efforts exerted by the Soviet side to deepen joint cooperation between the two countries.''
