Helicopter with newsmen aboard hit in Salvador

Leftist guerrillas fired on two helicopters carrying the American ambassador, members of Congress, and journalists Sunday, American officials said. The aircraft carrying the journalists was the only one hit. No one was hurt, said the officials, who asked not to be identified for security reasons.

They said the helicopters were fired on just outside of San Miguel.
