For nomination, Mondale down to a $3 million limit
Walter Mondale can legally spend only $3 million between now and the end of the Democratic National Convention in his quest for the presidency, figures released Tuesday by his campaign headquarters showed.
''We are going according to plan,'' campaign spokeswoman
Ann Stock said. ''That should be enough money.''
Neither of Mondale's opponents, Sen. Gary Hart or the Rev. Jesse Jackson, is near the campaign spending limit.
