Nine of the fastest-growing cities are in Texas, Florida

The Sunbelt states of Texas and Florida claim all but one of the nation's 10 fastest-growing cities, a new population study says. Midland, Texas, is the fastest growing city in the United States, according to the study by the New York-based corporation Dun & Bradstreet. Fort Pierce, Fla., was ranked second, followed by Bryan-College Station and Odessa, Texas, and Fort Myers, Fla.

Of those that lost population, six were in Michigan, five in Indiana, and three in New York.
