Correction
Due to an editing error, a May 2 article on Sri Lanka's Tamil ''Tigers'' by Mary Anne Weaver implied that the rebel group was killing Tamil civilians. In fact, the original report indicated the Sinhalese Army and security forces are responsible for the civilian deaths.
The Monitor regrets the error.
