Billy Goat Gruffs enlisted by Army to police grounds
The US Army has transferred a platoon of Virginia goats to this training base , hoping the grass-munching nannies, billies, and kids will save $2,500 yearly on mowing costs.
The goats are in the third month of the assignment, which is much less hazardous than their previous mission of landscaping on the ammunition fields of Fort A. P. Hill, Va., where the goats replaced remote-controlled lawn mowers.
