hovers a minute
on invisible currents
floats before flowers
elicits elixir
flits beyond sight
emerald glance
unimagined by Faberge
shimmering creature
catches the sun
darts
is eclipsed
in a leaf
overlapping
lost in a dappling
whisks into view
ascot ablaze
scarlet of petals
reflecting its flames
resplendent
in suit-of-lights
wind-riding picador
spearing a blossom
takes
minuscule
sips
then zips
to the next
like elusive ideas
he tantalizingly
dances a frenzy
above the azaleas
vanishes
