US Sikhs rally in support of independent nation

Thousands of expatriate Sikhs held a rally Saturday at Madison Square Garden's Felt Forum for the creation of an independent Sikh nation in India's Punjab.

Meanwhile in San Francisco, Sikhs from all over California marched to support the demands.

The demonstrators also called on Washington to initiate an independent inquiry into the Indian government's alleged killing of more than 30,000 Sikhs in Punjab.
