Billy Graham plans another visit to the Soviet Union

Evangelist Billy Graham, saying he ''sensed a deep spiritual hunger'' in the officially atheist Soviet Union during his first visit in 1982, said Friday he had accepted invitations to return next month.

Graham was criticized after his 1982 trip to the Soviet Union when he spoke at a conference on world peace and suggested that there is more religious freedom in the USSR than Americans were led to believe.

This time he will visit Moscow, Leningrad, Tallinn, and Novosibirsk, at the invitation of the All-Union Council of Evangelical Christians-Baptists of the Soviet Union and the Russian Orthodox Church.
