As I snap on morning
February 28, 1985
I think sometimes our pets must feel a kind of wonder in Winter when they come in from the cold, scratching at the door, peering at the lights beyond the windows, knowing there is warmth there in the rooms, and a cushion. They have seen me snap on morning with a flip of fingers. What a miracle! And how awesome! They have watched impatiently, yet with grave understanding as I lace my shoes, put on boots, cap, coat, and gloves before I go out into snow. They leap for the door, always ready. I am foresighted. They find impulse convenient. There is something to be said for each of us!
