Clarifications

In the opinion-page column ``Panama's strife and US bases,'' July 28, the time of ``enlightened colonialism'' in the Philippines should have been described as the period between 1900 and 1935. Mention of Article V of the US-Panama agreement was a reference to the Neutrality Treaty; two treaties were signed. And Omar Torrijos Herrera was the general who saw the treaties through to fruition.
