JESSE JACKSON TO MOVE TO WASHINGTON

Jesse Jackson, considered a potential candidate for mayor of Washington, said Saturday that he intends to move into a home he owns in the District of Columbia once renovations are completed. But the Rev. Mr. Jackson, a long-time Chicago resident, said that he had not made any decision on whether he would make the capital his legal voting residence - a move he would be required to make by November if he is to become a candidate for mayor in the city's 1990 elections.

Jackson has said he would not run for mayor against incumbent Marion Barry. But Jackson has declined to say what he will do if Mr. Barry declines to run for a fourth term, as some Barry advisers have urged.

Meanwhile Jackson's Rainbow Coalition organization plans to expand its Washington offices and establish most of its political operations in the city, a source in the organization said.
