WALESA AGREES TO FORM COALITION

Solidarity leader Lech Walesa, his movement's nominee as Poland's prime minister, met the head of a small non-Communist party Thursday to discuss forming a coalition government to end the growing political crisis. Democratic Party spokeswoman Elzbieta Ottwinowska said Mr. Walesa arrived at the party's headquarters for talks with Jerzy Jozwiak. The two men would later met Roman Malinowski, head of the United Peasants' Party (UPP).

Ottwinowska said Walesa and the heads of the two small parties would probably meet Communist President Wojciech Jaruzelski later.
