WRECKED FRENCH DC-10 IS FOUND

The wreckage of a French DC-10 airliner carrying the wife of an American diplomat and 170 others was found in the Sahara desert near the Chad-Niger border on Wednesday. French military officials raised the possibility of a mid-air explosion. Flight UT 772, flying from Brazzaville to Paris, lost radio contact Tuesday shortly after a stopover in N'Djamena.
