BOEING TALKS NEAR DEADLINE

Contract talks bogged down Sunday as a strike deadline neared between Boeing Corporation and the machinists union, which wants a share of the aerospace company's profits. The workers' contract expires at midnight Tuesday. Some 57,000 machinists would be affected by a strike.
