NASA on Oct. 3 delayed setting a launch date for space shuttle Atlantis because of a computer problem in an onboard rocket intended to boost a nuclear-powered probe to Jupiter. Shuttle managers had expected to pick an Oct. 12 launch date at the conclusion of a two-day flight readiness review. Instead, they issued a statement saying they were deferring the decision.
