BOSTON
A survey of nearly 2,000 companies across the United States found them expecting to give employees an average pay increase in 1990 of 5.7 percent, according to the Wyatt Company. The survey found that more than 95 percent of the respondents report basing pay increases on performance rather than merely the increase in the cost of living.
