Britain's Defense Secretary Tom King warned Iraq that the forces in the Gulf would not sit around forever. ``Our patience will run out,'' he said. German Chancellor Helmut Kohl said in a television interview that ``if they [Iraq's leaders] want to avoid a war, they have to free the hostages as quickly as possible.''
