Organizations Coordinate Aid Effort
BOSTON
THE US government has given $50 million to $60 million in relief to the tens of thousands of Kurdish refugees and other peoples fleeing northern Iraq, according to Court Robinson of the US Committee for Refugees. At least 27 nonprofit organizations have combined efforts to coordinate assistance. Following are the addresses of a few of these organizations, which collectively have raised at least $700,000 in funds for the Iraqi refugees:
