LONGER JOB HUNT FOR WOMEN

IRVINE, CALIF.
Women who have been terminated from corporate positions require an average of two months longer than men to find a new job, according to Stanlee Phelps, vice president of Lee Hecht Harrison Inc., a California-based outplacement consulting firm."Once out of work, female executives find it more difficult than their male counterparts to decide whether to seek another corporate position or consider alternative possibilities. The result is typically a longer job hunt," Mr. Phelps says.
