Life isn't so easy

THEY have been in the camp for almost two months with their new baby, this couple says. Their city of Prijedor was "cleansed" last summer and fall, and many of the city's residents have come to the Travnik camps.

The family had to come through the war zone under shelling to get to safety. Now that they are here, their life still isn't so easy. The baby has been sick. There is no heat, and they sleep on the floor.

There is little food. "We lost everything when the Serbs cleansed our city," she says. "So we have no money to buy healthy food."

They try to keep things clean; the husband boils the diapers behind the refugee center.

But she worries about whether she can keep her baby healthy in these conditions.
