DUAL-INCOME COUPLES ARE MORE WILLING TO MOVE FOR JOBS

Two-income couples are increasingly willing to relocate for jobs, according to a study by Challenger, Gray & Christmas, an outplacement consulting firm.
``Historically, most people are extremely reluctant to move, with only around one-third willing to relocate for new employment,'' James Challenger says. ``It represents a major reversal.''
The firms research shows that the percentage of dual-income families moving has been increasing for six of the last seven quarters.
``Dual-income couples understand the value of marketing their functions where more jobs are available rather than staying put,'' Challenger says.
