charm or please

like the singing sands

that vibrate, tease

in the Hebrides?

Can any artist's

painting vie

with the Maelstrom's

giant, piercing eye?

Gorges, cascades,

canyons, hills:

Scan, copy,

probe them as we will -

earth's wonders always

are wonders still

that Nature revises

endlessly,

never content

to let them be.
