* ROCK/POP Richard Thompson - Mirror Blue (Capitol):
The baker's dozen on ``Mirror Blue'' bears this folk-rocker's trusty signature: supreme songcrafting, poetic guitar and mandolin weaves, and well-turned, rueful, witty, and lovelorn tales. The British troubadour, who's been cobbling albums for a quarter of a century, blends his rock interest with Celtic, rockabilly, jazz, and Far Eastern touches. Despite his serious reputation, he hasn't forgotten humor, as witnessed by ``Fast food'' and ``MGB-GT'' (a love ditty about his itty bitty car). Sure to seep into your heart is the minstrel ballad, ``Beeswing.''
