WORTH NOTING ON TV

* SATURDAY

Space Cases (Nickelodeon, 9-9:30 p.m.): The latest addition to SNICK (Saturday Night Nickelodeon) is this ''Star Trek'' clone for kids. Two centuries in the future, five Starcademy students from different parts of the galaxy are stranded on a mysterious ship, of which they become the crew. The live-action series has humor and refrains from violence.

* SUNDAY

The Battle of the Alamo (Discovery, 9-10 p.m.): This engaging reenactment of the 1836 fight for Texan independence was the first production granted permission to film on the Alamo grounds.

* MONDAY

High Incident (ABC, 9-10 p.m.): The networks are introducing a number of midseason series in March, starting with this police drama from DreamWorks (the entertainment conglomerate of David Geffen, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Steven Spielberg). Taking place in a fictitious California suburb, the action in two reviewed episodes was typical of cop shows; it remains to be seen if the series adds something distinctive to the genre.

Also premiering tonight is Good Company (CBS, 9:30-10 p.m.), a comedy set at a Manhattan advertising agency. This show from the producers of ''Cheers'' isn't as funny as that successful comedy, but the ensemble cast of ''Good Company'' - led by Jon Tenney of ''Equal Justice'' - has potential.

* TUESDAY

A Grand Night for Singing - Public Television's Gift to You (PBS, 8-9:30 p.m.): As part of PBS's March pledge drive, actress Tyne Daly hosts a special of Broadway tunes and operatic arias. Soprano Sylvia McNair, mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade, tenor Jon Garrison, and baritone Kurt Ollmann also perform.

Buddies (ABC, 9:30-10 p.m.): Many comedies have nearly all-white or all-black casts, but this new sitcom centers on an interracial friendship between two enterprising filmmakers (Dave Chappelle and Christopher Gartin). The mix of racial issues and humor feels uneasy in the first two episodes viewed.
