Warning
(After Razmig Davoyan, Armenian poet)
January 2, 1997
Voices, sounds,
never die, but
travel, travel.
Once uttered
the words echo
sigh after sigh
in waves of sound
around the world
and return.
Or perhaps
wait on top
of the trees
to pounce
like leopards
and repeat and repeat
what you never
meant to speak.
