Shine On, Shine On Harvest Moon

The moon rises almost an hour later each day, as a rule. But near the autumnal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere (Sept. 23 this year), the moon rises at about the same time, right after sunset, for several days in a row. When the moon is full, it shines brightly enough to allow farmers to complete their harvest. So this moon is called the harvest moon.
