Right on the Money (PBS, check local listings): A smart new series that helps people solve their money problems. The 26-week series, hosted by business journalist Chris Farrell, will cover a range of subjects including credit card debt, buying a car, and planning for retirement.

Sunday 1/24

NHL All-Star Game (Fox, 4-7 p.m.): The world's best hockey players share the ice as North America takes on the rest of the world, a format introduced last year.

The Golden Globe Awards (NBC, 8-11 p.m.): At this glitzy precursor to the Oscars, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association will honor the best in movies and television. Nominees for best dramatic film are "Elizabeth," "Gods and Monsters," "The Horse Whisperer," "Saving Private Ryan," and "The Truman Show." Jack Nicholson will receive a special award.

Monday 1/25

Dilbert (UPN, 8-8:30 p.m.): The pilot episode has brilliant, nerdy engineer Dilbert trying to think up the name of a new product for his company - before the company thinks up the product. Fans of the strip will find it irresistible - which is nearly any grown-up who has ever worked in an office. Chris Elliott is droll in the title role. (TV-PG)

Zoboomafoo (PBS, check local listings): Brothers Martin Kratt and Chris Kratt, the creators of "Kratt's Creatures," (a wildlife adventure series for school-age children) have come up with a fun new show that teaches preschoolers how to respect and care for animals. (TV-Y)

The Great American History Quiz (History channel, 8-9 p.m.): And here's the host of the quiz show... Richard Dreyfuss. Well ladies and gentlemen here are some of the categories to test your intelligence: History 101 ("Everything You Know is Wrong!"), Troublemakers (Social Change), Disasters, 1860 ... or 1960?, Presidents, Fascinating Firsts ... This is too fun-filled to be "Jeopardy." (TV-G)

Thursday 1/28

Mystery! Heat of the Sun (PBS, 9-11 p.m.): Somewhat reminiscent of "The English Patient," this intriguing six-hour miniseries (three, two-hour shows) is set in 1930s Africa and revolves around detective Albert Tyburn (Trevor Eve). A former Scotland Yarder, Tyburn is transplanted to Nairobi, Kenya, where he must solve the disappearance of Lady Daphne Ellesmere (Kate McKenzie). It appears that she was attacked by a lion, but Tyburn is convinced that she was murdered. Parts 2 and 3 air the next two Thursdays at the same time. (TV-14, LV)
