Each year, the Computerworld Smithsonian Chairmen's Committee nominates those who use information technology to improve society for inclusion in the Smithsonian's National IT Innovation Collection. This year, the Web edition of The Christian Science Monitor has been included in this group.

"The primary source material submitted by The Christian Science Monitor will enrich the National Museum of American History's growing collection," explains Spencer Crew, director of the National Museum.

Founded in 1989, the Computerworld Smithsonian Program searches for and recognizes those who have demonstrated vision and leadership as they strive to use information technology in innovative ways.
